Lunch is served wherever you are. In the dining room, at Swampy’s on the course, and in the field or on the boat when you request box lunches.

From your table in the dining room, you’ll marvel at the stunning view of the lake, feel the warmth of our floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and enjoy fine dining the Sutton Bay way. Our wine room offers a private setting for more intimate dining occasions. For a more casual experience, enjoy appetizers, drinks and dinner at the bar.

Feel like staying in for dinner? Our chef can also prepare meals in your cabin. We are happy to deliver refreshments to your room or stock your fridge upon your request.

Our dinner menu always features bison cuts, Midwest beef, walleye prepared five different ways, and our signature pheasant quesadillas. Menus change seasonally so you can savor the freshest regionally sourced ingredients and enjoy a variety of entrees every time you stay.

Our Culinary Team

Executive Chef Doug Rauner came to Sutton Bay with a wealth of experience working with chefs from around the world. Since 2011, he’s been thrilling Sutton Bay members and guests with his culinary creations.

Inspired by his German heritage, he introduced us to his signature Pheasant Schnitzel, and we’re so glad he did. Our culinary team collaborates to bring you entrees inspired by their cultures, their world-wide travels, and the South Dakota prairie. They’re happy to accommodate special requests or dietary needs.
